ASTeC at STFC Daresbury Laboratory hosted a workshop in December 2022 to discuss the sustainability of particle accelerators. The aim was to bring together accelerator scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to share ideas and best practises to make current and future particle accelerators more sustainable, and to meet the challenges of the 21st century. We want to foster discussion and collaboration between STFC departments, UK accelerator institutes, and overseas partners to establish a common set of technology goals, tools and approaches. Around 60 participants attended the workshop, with speakers from ASTeC, ISIS, and the Cockcroft Institute, as well as invited speakers from DESY and PSI. The workshop was held in person at Daresbury Laboratory with open access for STFC staff, with remote attendance via Zoom.
