A workshop on sustainable research infrastructures will be held in Madrid on 25-27 November 2024. The goal is to find ways to make these facilities more energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
Research facilities use a lot of energy, but there are ways to reduce this. New technologies and ways of operating these facilities can help. The workshop will discuss these solutions and more, with a focus on collaboration between scientists, engineers and policymakers.
The workshop is also interested in how to use renewable energy sources and manage waste in a sustainable way. This workshop is part of a series that has been held since 2011.
